On September 24 and 25, we participated in the “Coffee and Tea Show Canada 2017” where we had the opportunity to know the potential consumption of coffee that is generated in this country. During the commercial mission, observation activities were carried out in different self-service establishments and also in specialized sales outlets. In addition we had the opportunity to talk with some of the roasters that have the most highlight in the Canadian market.
The mission was organized by TFO Canada and Funder, since April of this year managing the preparation of our representatives with a series of trainings.
Cafescor on behalf of all its producing partners thanks TFO Canada for the opportunity and we are available to continue with the implementation of the rest of the program, as this would only be the beginning of the expansion of our export activity to a market as important as it is the Canadian, which goes with our approach of generating a value of sustainability for the agricultural activity of our people.
It should be noted that one of the most important aspects for Canadian buyers is Corporate Social Responsibility, taking into account the impact that is generated at each level of the supply chain.
One of the important and hopeful observations is that Honduran coffee is being consumed in few quantities in the Canadian market and this would mean an opportunity to generate some commercial relations that would allow the country to introduce more coffee.
